Sally Garcia of @callmeflowerchild is a Mexican-Salvadorran mindful closet advocate. When she’s not using her platform to share her favorite sustainable looks and advocating for people to head outdoors, she’s volunteering with her local community and helping BIPOC communities enjoy the outdoors. We spoke to Sally about her impact and her journey with sustainable fashion.

The Consistency Project designs reworked clothing for all genders based on comfort, versatility, and style. Founded by Natasha Halesworth, who now lives in Hawaii with her family, TCP excels at bridging the gap between fashion and sustainability. They’re known for vibrant patterns and shapes created from existing deadstock and leftover pieces of fabric and clothing, creating new things out of the old.

Earth Day is on April 22 each year, when spring is in full-swing in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s also almost exactly a month after the Spring Equinox, a day that has long been a celebration of the planet in traditions around the world, particularly in indigenous communities.

Waste Not is an open-sourced database of eco-friendly packaging and supply chain solutions and suppliers to help the decision-makers behind brands find better, lower-carbon alternatives. It was built by brand builder Michelle Mattar after building out packaging projects through her work. We spoke to Michelle about the mission and future of Waste Not.
